New to Path of Exile, regarding Energy shield, Health, Armour and Evasion Rating balancing?

I am not going to lie, i am a newbie when it comes to path of exile, i never enjoyed the first game to the point where i got anywhere to understand the game, i've now spent over 200 hours in Path of Exile 2 and i very much do enjoy the gameplay, WSAD controls completely revolutionized this type of game for me making it endlessly more fun to play.

That being said, now i am in end game running tier 15 with my very first character i created on day one of the early access opening Mercenary Witch Hunter, i have had a lot of struggles with this guy but i find the game to be most challenging for me in the early act2/act3 before i found decent gear.

Now finally in end game i am starting to compare my guy with others and to me just looking at some of the passive nodes as well as the stat affix modifiers on many of the items it seems like any build that doesn't utilize Energy Shield combined with some passive points that makes mana/energy shield your health is essentially going to end up always having a chance of being randomly one shotted by complete random attacks in the high end game.

It's to the point now where i see mercenary builds that are running full intelligence just to reach the survivability needed to actually have fun in the game. Who designed this mess, why is ES getting so much power from passives and stats affixes where there are nearly nothing for armor/evasion rating and health builds to the point where all classes have to become mages?

As someone who plays a range character i also feel like the game isn't letting me utilize the classes strength, the game is far to zoomed in for me to have any actual advantage as a range class, in teir15++ mobs move so fast they are on top of you instantly before you can even tell they are coming, with Evasion Rating at 75% i dodge many attacks, but the ones that go through are almost always a one shot, not to speak of the endless amount of torture mechanics of random on death delayed blow up mechanics that can one shot you. I've actually found my survivability to be the best when i literally just "go for it" and just press my attacks and plow forward at a maximum pace never fear whats coming next, if i hesitate in the slightest i wont move fast enough to move past the torture mechanics of corpses blowing up and various other stupid shit that happens after things are dead in the game.

I don't want to reroll because i very much enjoy the play style of the character, but i feel like to even be able to have fun in the game i have to completely respec and go into weird territory where i run some off spec energy shield build because that is the ONLY survivability option that is being offered by GGG at this point, any other build that doesn't utilize energy shield seems to be doomed to have random one shots occurring and considering how punishing the game is to you at the end game this isn't fun to deal with.

TLDR:
1. who designed the balance in between ES, HP , Armour and Evasion Rating, its time to go over these and level them out, how are they fair and balanced to each other?
2. playing any build that isn't going into ES is going to get one shot by random mechanics at the end game.
3. not being able to zoom out and actually utilize the range class to boost survivability with a evasion rating build makes evasion rating builds completely useless at end game where every hit that goes through one shots you and you're so zoomed in you have no option to fight fast moving monsters at a distance.

Other than that rant i think the game is great, the campaign was great and challenging, the graphics are insane and the level of detail and amount of different monsters is amazing, the end game is sorta... not fun because of the mentioned stuff above, i wish there was a way to keep progressing my character without having to become a int caster mage with ES spec.

I can't speak for what the devs intended, but having leveled every type to 80+, here are my findings:

1. Armor / life builds are a meme that can get one-shotted by white trash mobs, even with considerable effort put into maxing out defenses. Absolutely abysmal and should be fixed immediately.

2. Evasion / life builds feel good most of the time until you get randomly unlucky and instantly killed. Even with 90% evasion you're essentially playing Russian roulette. When you need 50-100 deathless maps to level up one time at higher levels, it feels real bad when your luck fails. Better get good at no-hit runs in maps.

3. Evasion / ES builds are fairly good, but if they nerf Grim Feast that will change.

4. Pure ES builds are incredible, especially if you can run Chaos Innoculation and/or Mind Over Matter. Even just straight ES / Life builds are good with the right ascendancy. My Witch build for instance has 10k ES, 2700 life and ~65% block with all 4 resistances capped. It feels great. If they nerf Grim Feast these builds will also take a massive hit.

What I'd like to see? Nerf Grim Feast and buff other defenses across the board to compensate.
