POE2 Trade site says i am offline

When i try to message someone using the direct whisper button it says

"Invalid query: Your account must be in game to use this feature."

My account is online and in game. I am linked through Steam. i've used POE trade before in the first game a bit so I am not completely unfamiliar with how this works. Just think maybe im missing something
