i killed the watchfull twins but died before getting the rewards

as said in the title, i killed the watchful twins but died right after, before i got the chance to get the rewards.

The issue is that i didn't find the rewards when i went back and the boss did not respawn.

is this normal ?

the boss on the map is still lit up as i didn't get the reward.
