PO2 The Molten Vault Boss

The boss died right after I died dropping "The Hammer of Kassa", but after respawning the boss is still dead with the artifact on the arena floor but I cannot go back down to arena floor. Attempted to restart game several times with no luck, unfortunately this item is needed to continue quest line.
