"The mad wolf of ogham" - unable to complete

The wolf was slain and I was inventory full.
Used my own portal to town.
I clicked on the hooded one to identify my gear and triggered the cutscene.
Having viewed the scene once before, I escape-key'd out of it.
Ended up in ACT2, used waypoint to travel back to ACT1 and used my portal finished my business etc...

Since then, I still have the quest open and cannot trigger the closure/finish for it since 'travel east' is not an option on the hooded one anymore.
