Old School Gamer Quick Review

First off, I have no real complaints.

The zones look absolutely amazing, character variety and combat flow feel great. I'm playing on a Xbox series X and it runs almost flawlessly for something that released a few weeks ago. Great work.

Things I would like to see:

-Stash sorting of some type.

-A way to trade that isn't leaving the game. I've always been against alt tabbing from a game to play the game. It's not immersive to leave to a trade website, and I actually don't want to use it at all. I disliked having to use D2JSP back in the day.

Any way to trade within the game would be welcomed. I'm old and tedious (at 40 lol), but I never had a problem with having a trade chat channel, and just being able to drop into a game, see the other characters and how they look, show off your own gear, hang out in a town and chat, and do some trades in a trade box or even the old toss it on the ground.

I know this soy generation is against griefing...but there should be some type of open pvp while playing. Just like so many games these days, make a separate server for those who like to play with a little adrenaline. I'm not even saying I want to pk people, but back in the old days, there was nothing like having some villain player try to chase you down, only to have him get merked by 5 poorly geared lowbies working together. Or having to run for your life to save your toon. This didn't detract from the game despite what many of the crybabies like to say, it added to it.

Most people I know in real life don't game, or if they do they don't play the same games. Why is it so much trouble to be able to choose a game full of people from a lobby? Seriously? Even the 8 slots in d2 was sufficient. The 4 slots in d3, felt like a step back. This feels a little too single player to be honest.

I'm ok with sharing open drops with randoms. Chasing the loot is part of the fun. Please don't make everyone get their own drops (I know it's a setting too), but the 'everyone gets a cookie' idea just waters it down.

Other than that, I'm loving the difficulty. The subtlety in the mechanics. I played a merc to around 43, then played a warrior, then a fire sorc. I liked the sword and board techniques.

I heard that there may be some thought into pvp in terms of capture the flag, or something. Anything would be nice. I realize balance is almost impossible, but you're clever, I know you can figure something out.

Don't make it feel too single player, but at the same time, I don't care to add people to a friends list. A lot of us are just the 'drop into a full game' type of player without having to become attached at the hip to some random people. Make an option for open games? (or is there and I don't know?)

All that said, the game rocks. This is what d3 could have been with flagship and blizzard north, absolutely killed it - game of the year 2025.

Great work guys, great work.
