What is the thought process behind uniques?
I got maybe 2 unique drops the entire campaign, they obviously weren't hat useful.
Now that I'm mapping uniques are actually dropping. 99% of them are low level uniques that I have absolutely no use for nor does anybody want to trade for. I'm not sure if you can do dynamic drop rates by level range or something, but low level uniques , uniques designed for low level characters should probably have better drop rates for lower level characters. Finding uniques at a low level is fun and useful. Finding low level uniques at a high level is disappointing and they are just vendor trash. Last bumped on Dec 27, 2024, 12:20:02 PM

There is no high level bases at the moment. It's broken as expected.

Uniques in maps are just chance shards with extra steps.
Jokes aside, I'm not sure what the thought process behind them was. 99% of them are just leveling fodder. Even signature names from POE1 like Devouring Diadem and The Brass Dome are fodder or useless. Maybe they're just placeholders until they figure out how to balance them? Probably not if they left Astramentis exactly the same (except the implicit). |

Uniques are saving my bacon since good items don't really drop in the campaign. They are bad enough to be cheap on the trade site and good enough to get you by if you can't afford better gear.
I peeked at the Wiki though and it does seem they are all low level or useless with a few incredibly OP exceptions, maybe they didn't expect so many people to be in the endgame already? |
