GGG, could you create a trading tool like Sidekick to avoid the risk of being banned?
Hello,
Everything is in the title. Wouldn't it be possible for the developers themselves to create (considering it's open-source) a program to simplify trading? I think everyone would benefit: there would be more items available for trade, and people could easily check prices without the risk of being scammed. It would be a win-win for everyone, and the risk of being banned for using third-party software would be greatly reduced. Furthermore, is Sidekick allowed or potentially bannable? It's impossible to get a clear answer from GGG on this matter. Thanks a lot GGG Last bumped on Dec 27, 2024, 10:28:56 AM

Not sure the details of Sidekick, but third party tools and game overlays are not generally banable. Only thing I've seen that's banable is botting tools, or tools with macros that perform more than a single action with a single button click (since that's pretty close to bottong). Many people used things like Awakened PoE Trade in 1 for years and years without any issues. Which even includes macros ente a single button will type /hideout for you.
