Thorns is literally useless
Took all the nodes on passive tree with warrior, put the unique helmet on that applies thorns to all hits, put more gear on for thorns, even on white trash mobs it does next to nothing. Either actually make it do something or remove it from the game.

Thorns worked on release using scavenged plating, Armour break, and wall segments. They patched out the interaction as a bug even though armor breaking walls was fun. I think they should read it, made for an engaging thorns experience of maintaining buff while trying to get hit by the right hits.

Yes, some mods are intentionally not very good. To make it a challenge to get good items. If they removed it, they'd have to replace it with something as equally mid. Or a mod that does nothing.
In short, you don't understand what you're asking for. |

With sekimas being designed how it is, even if Thorns was actually viable outside of it you would be screwed trying to ascend.
I have a personal soft spot for thorns builds, I hope one emerges eventually but I wouldn't count on it soon tbh. |

" If this was the case, then they should remove the skills from the passive tree that strongly imply you can build for thorns. I do agree that Thorns is not well designed, and it hasn't been. Ever. In any ARPG I've played. D3 managed to make it a stat, but just because it became a different way to boost main damage, while failing to fill the 'reactive' fantasy of retaliatory damage. So far PoE1's reactive counter attacks fill that niche the best, and I feel the Thorns skills should be tossed out in favor of that design. |
