Mercenary Energy Shield + Armour BUG

Hi! My character is level 48 and currently my energy shield does not work and neither does my armour rating. I have items that give me +ES and then increased % modifier but the modifier is not working - its just stuck at 34. My armor rating also doesnt change from gear. And also during combat, my energy shield is ignored and my health is taken instead.
I am sure this is a bug. Can anyone help with this please?
