Trade penalty system for no response
Who is up for some kind of no response penalty system where a seller has a timer say an hour to respond to a buy request or they get a negative seller point.
Too many points and they are banned from selling for a week. 2nd ban gets a month for each and every ban after the 1st week ban. Points can time out after say a week or a month for good behavior. I am done seeing the same listed gear for 1 exalted that should be fetching 5 exalts and never gets sold but probably attracts hundreds if not thousands of buy requests let alone the zero response from requests daily. I think i average 1 out 20 buy req that go through. Sellers need to be held to a standard. Last bumped on Dec 27, 2024, 10:19:54 AM

No. Why should they? Because you want it?

" I think something like this has been brought up before, as well as the possible consequences, including bot abuse. Try putting something up for trade underpriced, and see how many responses you get in 10 seconds. Then imagine that trolls could bombard you with botted trade requests, regardless of what you put up. sellers needs to be held to a standard? am i taking crazy pills?
they can sell it to whoever they want using the in-game trading screen. what makes you think a player is under an obligation because of a buyer's time? If someone put something up for an insanely low price, either out of ignorance of market (shocking, but most players do not breathlessly research the market, they just guess and slap a price on it), or a desire to move an item quickly, I assure you they're not responding to a bulk of the buyers because they sold it instantly. They don't want to do the work of saying "Sorry, it's sold" to the thirty people that where a second too late, and the chat in the game makes it an added pain anyway, so why would they bother?
Accept that you where too slow on the draw and move on with your day. |

Stop trying to snipe obviously underpriced items and you'll get replies.
You're the one at fault here. |

I have a better solution.
A button, you click it, and the trade completes automatically so long as you have the currency. I know it's a scary thought, and people would rather come up with 100 creative but useless solutionjs that dont actually solve anything, but it saves their pride. They feel because they had to go 12 - 13 years without using an Auction House, that no one has the right to use an Auction House. Even though tons of problems would be solved by a proper acution house , and at the end o the day , it would far outweight the negatives. |

" Tell that to Shaiya, Cabal and Diablo 3. AH destroys games where 90% of content is focused on getting the items. You have your hopes and dreams as evidence while i have seen games broken by adding one. Last edited by kuciol#0426 on Dec 27, 2024, 8:06:13 AM

We all know that would just create a huge amount of work for the staff.
Just buy average listings and stop trading when it gets annoying. |
