On xbox cannot trade or whisper in game after verifying email

Hello I am on xbox and have been unable to trade or whisper anyone in game even after verifying my account and connecting my email. The options are simply grey. My account on the poe website does not show my xbox character either I believe it shows my first ps5 character I created on ps5 before playing on xbox. Please help thank you.
