poe's map system is so much better
the amount of freedom and control over what we run in poe is amazing. in poe2 its the complete opposite. why cant i choose what map to run with what content? i just want to run sandspit and sandspit only. i'm sick of the maze layouts like augury and seepage and vaal factory and all the rest. and there is no avoiding them. if you want to run a good map, you need to get past 3-4 of these garbage maps first. and of course all these maps have the breaches and delirium on it too. not a coincidence. i cant believe how much worse the mapping system is in poe2. i feel like everything in poe2 was designed with 0 fun allowed in mind.

Inclined to agree. I've often thought to myself 'this doesn't feel right'. I assume they wanted to give us more freedom with the maps we chose, but in all honesty it feels like extra management for no apparent gain.
It doesn't feel great to open up a UI, scan around, decide what map you want to run and then put your map in. Genuinely feels like two extra steps for not a whole lot of gain. Absolutely prefer the method used in PoE 1. Sure it sucks early on when you don't have the maps you want, but you soon gain a gathering of them. The new system actually provides less choice rather than more, with more steps to actually open the map. It just doesn't 'feel' great. Last edited by Karix86#2722 on Dec 24, 2024, 8:17:40 PM

they are forcing us to run the layouts we dont want in order to get the good layout maps. in poe i run the bad layout maps ONCE and thats it. then i just run my favorite maps.
