Started boss fight on accident, can't enter arena (in a map)

I stepped in and out of a consort boss fight in a map, didn't want to fight it quite yet as i like saving the boss for last in a map (just a me thing). but when I came back to the arena the red wall that prevents you from leaving the arena was up as the ghost had spawned in and flew to the middle. So I summoned the boss but didn't get trapped in the arena and there is no "enter arena" pathway.
