ES/CI vs Armour/EV and Life

GGG constantly says they dont want players to feel forced to play a certain build or skill and want things balanced but it feels like CI and ES are way over powered vs the other defensive options

For reference im playing a Evasion/Armor Titan my stats should be pretty tanky
* 12069 Armor which is 73% reduction
* 18051 Evasion which is 86% chance to to evade
* 78% Max Elemental Resist
* 75% Chaos resist
* 3005 Life
* 20% instant Leech
* 15% phy mitigated recouped as life.

* There is a metric shit ton of chaos dmg in POE2 vs POE1. Which CI just laughs off since its just straight mitigated dmg where as getting 75% chaos res seems mandatory otherwise. which im fine with and I have on my Titan but I still get 1 shot by things constantly which is pretty aggravating given that ive dedicated 60% of my tree to defense.

* The fact that there is no increased maximum life on the tree seems like a bad idea IMO given the fact that there is increased energy shield everywhere...on the tree and on gear. so getting above 3k life and maintaining all the other stats required to play like resists/attributes/mv speed and what not means your gear really cant have any wasted prefix/suffix on it or youre at a disadvantage. If the gear doesnt have life on it I basically just crunch it. Where as with ES gear you can easily get to 7-9k ES with all the increases available.

* Melee vs Caster...Not only does Evasion/Armour feel like its at a major disadvantage but the classes that play and will play when the other classes are added to the game with strengh/dex bases are all mid to close range... where as ES is mid to long range...casters and bows..so they get better defensives imo and they dont have to take the same risks todo damage. This seems pretty unbalanced. In my personal experience on my warrior my damage uptime for some fights is extremely low...but where as with a caster class you can nuke from distance and concentrate on mechanics. I feel like im constantly taking more risks to do damage on the warrior for very little payout compared to say a ranger/witch/sorc
