Mind Over Matter armor mitigation?

Does tanking damage with mind over matter benefit from having armor mitigation? I have heard it benefits from resistances.

Why wouldn't it? Armour doesn't specify it only protects life, it simply reduces physical damage taken. Whether or not this damage is applied to life, mana, energy shield or whatever else is irrelevant.
