What's the deal with Lightning skills ?

Watching the current states of "OP builds" since the launch of EA i see non-stop Lightning skills at the forefront : Lightning Arrow build for the ranger , Lightning Sorceress spamming Spark / Orbs , Lightning Ranged Monk ... how is it that one element is so far above the rest to the point i just saw the video of someone showcasing his "Frost Monk" when in fact he was using Lightning skills triggering Cold explosions ...

Should Lightning skills be nerfed on par with the rest or should the rest be buffed on par with Lightning Skills ?

Its not, its just the easiest available skills and then ones with the most interactions.

Im having a blast with ice Shot, its making everything a breeze so far with 0 investment.
