Reapply Ailment Interactions

Does chance to reapply ailments generate energy for their respective cast on ailment? I understand that the meta ailment skills generate energy from the ones that YOU apply, but unsure of the mechanics of reapply (clone from original source aka YOU, clone but applied by new source AKA meta skill, or just duration reset)?

Also does it count as inflicting? (For ele focus concerns)
Would support gems that increase ailment magnitude increase the reapplied ailment? (E.g. shock from spark consumed by lightning conduit with overcharge socketed)
Does it trigger proliferation again if it is capable of doing so originally?
