POE 2 Crash on load in

Yo everyone, unsure if you have access to another computer.

I had been locked out of my one character since yesterday.

But had the bright idea just this morning, loaded up POE2 on another computer and logged in and to my surprise I loaded in without crashing! I then took WP to another area hit the checkpoint to be sure and exited.

Went back to main computer and logged in and lo and behold! loaded in without crashing!

Was in game earlier today in act 2, went to town, game crash.

Logged back in, and tried loading character, crash again

Came back at night, same thing can't load just crash.

Tried troubleshooting, changing settings etc. (different character can load in, just not the character that crashed on)

Similar issue.
When I walk past the checkpoint pillar near the exit of the initial area of act 2, the game crashes. When restarting the game, the game crashes when loading the character. This has happened with 2 different characters.

reproduce steps
1. Complete act 1
2. travel to act 2
3. interact with the pillar that gives voiced lines
4. talk with caravan leader, learn about bandits
5. walk past way-point circle
6. walk past checkpoint pillar and the game crashes.


Update:
I ran nivida driver update, no change
Windows event viewer indicates there was an issues with c:\winodws\system32\KERNELBASE.dll


Update #2
There was a POE2 patch and I ran the steam installed files validation, which found and corrected 3 issues. I'm not sure which of these fixed the issue, but it is fixed now.
