[Item Mod Tiers] Flip Highest Mod Tier back to Tier 1

In PoE2, mod tiers start at 1 as lowest and go to X (undefined) tier depending on the mod.

This is MUCH more confusing, not only for PoE1 players, but new players as well.

Example:
Add # to # Physical max tier is 9. Add # to # Lightning max tier is 10.

How is a new player supposed to know what the max tier for each mod is, without a 3rd party website like poe2db to have to then search up the item type, and mod?

How is any casual player thats spent some time in the game, or poe1 vet expected to remember the max tiers for each relevant mod, without playing for 2 years to memorize it all.

Burden of knowledge significantly increases with this decision of mod tiers. It makes it much much harder to identify whether an item is good or not when picking it up.

Please revert mod tiers back to Tier 1 being highest, this way is much more consistent in determining highest tiers and relative to how close your item is to those maximums.

I agree with this.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
How do you propose handling adding more powerful tiers of mods in the future? Tier 0? Tier -1?

I don't think your average new player cares so much about how high it goes, just that bigger=better. And your non-average crafting afficionado will use 3rd party websites anyway.

What the game would benefit from, is displaying the ilvl requirement next to the tier, like the trade site does.
Ascend with precision.
I agree 100%! I understand nothing of these new tiers lol. Also it doesn't say anywhere in game which tier is actually the highest. IMO that's the only thing that would justify it being like this. Example: Instead of just saying "tier 10" it could say "tier 10/13" or something like that.
There is no reasonable logic behind the changed order. Not. Any. Reason. Oh wait. There is one: developers are fck dumb at GGG.
I am a developer and really have no reason to order tiers the way players never be sure which one is the highest tier. This is one of the dumbest decisions made in gaming history.

Agree.
They did it just to try and be as different as possible from POE1. I can't think of any other reason why that design choice was made. Funny tho, seeing as how they left features/mechanics in from POE1, watered them down and made them tedious and difficult.

It's just another example of trying so hard to be different than daddy just to end up growing up to be him anyway.
