Demon Form Presence Bug

When in Demon Form nothing regarding "in your presence" works anymore. For example the "Radiant Grief Lace Hood" or "Xoph's Blood Amber Amulet" show no effect when in Demon Form.
I'm assuming this is a bug since it's nowhere stated that such effects would be disabled. Also it doesn't really makes sense that it disables such things, because:
First of all it's still you and your presence and in this case your helmet and amulet slot is also not disabled, otherwise the wording on shapeshifting would be incorrect.
Second of all it would be an extrem power downgrade since you already lose your weapon and offhand which is already rather a downside when looking at high-end gear (at least in utility/survivability if not also in power), but like that you lose half your entire gear stats in some builds only gaining the stats of a good rolled staff on 10 Demon Flames... I hope that can't be right xD
