Endgame Time Investment and missing Learning opportunity for endgame bosses
Dear GGG-Devs,
I wanted to leave this feedback after ~100h hours played on two characters and getting both to T15 Maps. I just made the decision to quit the game for now because of the inaccessibility of endgame and endgame bosses. The Boss design is amazing and the only thing I wish is to actually be able to experience more of it with a reasonable time Investment and actually get to LEARN how to fight the bosses and the mechanics without youtube videos. - In the 100h played I managed to scrape together exactly 1 Breachstone, after dying once to an unkown mechanic with the dropping hand because I wanted to go in in Blind I have to grind for another 5-10h game time to get one more try due to the 1 death mechanic. - I did not encounter a single boss citadel for the three fragments in this time invested. The enjoyable content is again gated behind unreasonable / rng time investment. With endgame bosses my wish is to make it more accessible to all players and let us use more portals and balance it e.g. around increasing loot and reducing portals by assigning boss difficulty Atlas passives. In the beginning when you dont know the fights it lets you learn the mechanics this way and then increase the difficulty / reducte portals by speccing into the boss atlas trees when you as a player decide that you are ready. As it currently stands probably 1-5% of the playerbase will ever access and experience an endgame boss which is a shame because fighting the bosses would be really enjoyable with less prohibitive cost of entry and punishment. In this respect I think GGG can learn a lot from their Source of Inspiration from Souls-Like games where content and bosses are difficult as well but opportunity cost to learn the mechanics of bosses and improve your gameplay are much more readily available for players. I am looking forward to where the game will develop in the next months but in its current state of punishing design and lack of content accessibility it is not in a state where I personally can have fun playing the game Last bumped on Dec 20, 2024, 2:48:46 PM
