Trade process and account online status

How do I know if the items I've listed in my stash are available to be traded on the site? I don't seem to find them listed when I search on my end.

In addition, when I try to direct whisper to someone using the site, I get an error saying I need to be online with the account in order to do so even when I'm logged in. I've been circumventing this by copying the whispers.

I'm worried that it's not registering that I'm online.
