Why is there only Hardcore? No Softcore mode?

The extreme death Penalties make it feel like I am playing Hardcore. 1 portal, xp loss, boss vanishes, league mechanics gone. You not only lose XP, you reduce your ability to progress at all.

XP loss exists because D2 had it, we can move on from that now guys, you have Hardcore as an option for people. Why don't you have Softcore as an option?

Likely because it was going to be and was used as an insult in PoE and probably Diablo too otherwise they would've used it for the name for Standard.

I'm not asking for a different difficulty. I am saying Standard feels like Hardcore.

I've lost so much experience and there's nowhere to work it off because it would take forever on campaign maps. You don't want to keep playing.
