A proposed compromise for Death, Maps, and Portals
1st, let me say that I agree that death ought to be a hefty penalty to keep from portal spam. But I also think that in the game's current state with balance and overtuned mobs/bosses, losing all portals on death is itself, aggravating and already bleeding wound (see what I did there?)
My proposal.... you use 1 portal when entering the map per player.... if a player dies, 2 portals are eliminated right off the bat, and the player then has to use an additional portal to reenter the map. This means you get 1 death in a map before it can no longer be entered. Death still means a great deal. Loot portals remain upon completion, Players then no longer get to complain when they die to a BS mechanic while a mirror or exalt/divine lies on the ground, eternally taunting them. This also means, that there is no room for error when grouping up, because one death means that in a duo group, only 1 portal remains for loot. Also, allow groups to PLEASE have 1 death rez in a map.
