Dying because mana is low in poe2

I am playing a sorceress stormweaver in poe 2. I am level 68 and have some key nodes on the passive board leveld which allow me to tank with my mana instead of hp and the one which loweres my hp to 1 and lets me be immune to chaos. Even tho my 4.4k Energy shield is up and my mana is over half i die and the game says ive commited suicide. My mana only ever gets this low while i use Mana tempest. I havent compleated another map tier 1 with this build since i keep "committing" suicide. Due to leveling many mana and Energy shield nodes i rely on buffs like mana tempest to deal damage but i cant since i keep dying. If i knew how to upload an image here i would. Thank you for your help in advance. Ive tested this in cruel diff "normal" nodes. So far this only happened in Maps for some reason. Edit: nvm just happened to me aswell in just cruel and not endgame.

Thanks for your last edit. I just upgraded to CI with 1 HP and I died on my first map. Turns out my mana flask removes 15% from life.

You're probably using a mana flask that takes from life. I had the same thing happen. Hopefully you figured it out by now ha.
