The loot in POE2 is uninspired. Share your ideas for BOOTS and other gear.
Hello. I have been having largely a very positive experience w POE2 and love the more meaningful methodical and strategic combat especially for my monk character. GGG please don't make the game too easy! But beyond that I have some serious issues with the game however that I hope can be addressed in the future.
*The Loot is Pretty Uninspired*. We have next gen gameplay and last gen loot. Why do the devs think that POE1's boring loot was the right fit for POE2? Furthermore poe1 has better and more interesting loot due to the end game content creating some interesting modifiers as well as other systems like enchantments. So at least the end game became more interesting in that regard. Please improve the loot and here is one idea: BOOTS: All boots should have movement speed modifiers... even small ones. For instance: they can add 1-5% movement speed boots for start of the game. every blue boot and higher rarity can have a movement speed modifier. here is a way to make movement speed modifiers on boots more interesting: A new pool of speed modifiers + specific attributes. Basically 2 modifiers counting as one. They can be specialized for dif purposes so you end up desiring the ones that are suitable for your class or build or for certain deficiencies. EXAMPLES for start of the game: "of the Barbarian": 1-5% movement speed + 1-8% increased damage with Maces and Axes. "of the Treasure Hunter" 1-5% movement speed + 1-10% increase in gold dropped. Beyond Act 1: ''firewalker'' 5-15% movement speed + 5-15% less ignite damage taken + 1-5% fire resist. And of course scale this up with game progression to where you end up reaching 20-30% movement speed boots w fancy modifiers. One example and if you have any fun ideas please share: ''of the vaal ambassador" 25-30% movement speed + 10-25 rarity find + vaal and native enemies drop 1-10% increased quantity of items and deal that much extra damage. (can make this more interesting and fancy w separate rolls for quantity and damage so you can hope for high quantity and low damage buff. can make it more exciting.) There could be a whole series of gear designed on buffing and nerfing certain enemy types and enhancing rewards from those enemies/regions. Which could make the end game more exciting as well as you look forward to finding certain regions! Please share your own ideas for interesting loot! There can be "Explorer'' gear. This can be for boots and other types as well. Basically they encourage you to go into certain maps/regions for additional bonuses.
Modifier example: ''of the Occult". a single modifier that gives you 20-30% movement speed + 10-20% more damage vs skeletons and undead + 5-20% increased rarity find against skeletons and undead. imagine a whole series of these modifiers to span many of the enemy types and areas of the game. Primates, Natives, Insects, Mages, etc |

when talking boots specifically, one suggestion from a different thread which i think is "reasonable" is that on higher tier boots, IF you get a movespeed mod, the movespeed mod range is always at a higher range.
so for item level 1-10 maybe 10ms at min 10-20, 15ms min 20-50 25ms min 50-75 30 ms min and note i mention minimum roll, its still possible to get higher rolls. so its possible that a player get 20 ms at level 18 if theyre lucky. [Removed by Support]

yes. something like this would work. but i think 1% increments could spice things up too and make it more exciting.

Boots should have a flat +X meters/second move speed implicit, with max roll range for affixes being lowered to compensate.
