Chaos Monk Feedback - Darkness 1st Node is equivalent to "Ghost Dance" on the average Monk
Darkness gives 500 darkness at Lv80.
I have 6000 evasion rating at Lv80. (Also, 2000 ES). "Ghost Dance" is a spirit skill that costs 30 spirit. It restores 5% of your evasion rating, refreshing once every 3.2s at a Lv17 spirit gem, or 3 charges per 10sec. If I am hit 3 times in a 10 sec period, I restore 900 ES from Ghost Dance. I have 500 extra "life" with Darkness, every 10 seconds. Darkness costs 100 spirit. Not taking Darkness means I can run ghost dance + blasphemy temp chains for 100 spirit. My conclusion: Darkness sucks. It's only good for adding chaos damage. To add damage consistently with darkness, you need to not get hit. So it's best for ranged builds. I continue to be disappointed by this ascendency :D. Please buff it! If darkness could be used like spirit it would be much more enjoyable to play and open up more playstyles for monk.

" Its worse, Darkness removes infinite spirit. You cannot get any benefit from anything that scales spirit. You could earn up to 200+ with your Ammy+Armor but you lose it all with Darkness. So you're not just losing 100 you're losing the opportunity to run more than 100 and stack up extra spirit gems. |

The more I played around with this ascendency the more I got to the conclusion that it shouldn't have been released yet
