" Ban them because you didn’t pay attention? For all we know they accidentally clicked the wrong currency. BLNT Last edited by Jacob_GGG#0000 on Jan 10, 2025, 4:01:56 PM

" They clicked the wrong currency and proceeded to try to do the same for about 4+ hours afterwards and probably ignoring the dude? Yeah that's how trading has always worked in this game. The trading to a 99% of the time is a fairly decent good faith experience in this game (referring to poe1) but the massive influx of people probably brings it back to some darker scammer intensive periods. If there wasn't logs then sure you can do the whole "he said she said" defense. The trading works due to community and the company keeping things somewhat honest. " yeah exactly this it's hard to imagine it was a mistake when I was immediately blocked with it happening to another person hours later. I understand I was at fault for getting use to decent behaviour but I'm just saying it's rough there's no repercussions for repeat shitty behaviour alongside no Penalty or support for people getting scammed. I feel this just leads to '' Aw mad I can just do this forever '' or someone getting scammed going '' Well guess I'll just do the same! '' and your community suffers. All in all I guess good warning for anyone reading this if nothing else. I'd like to see a little more support by release for people losing a good chunk of time from a dodgy trade but a man can dream. Last edited by Jacob_GGG#0000 on Jan 10, 2025, 4:02:03 PM

This thread is a proof that no matter how many layers of proofing you implement, the user will always find a way to fail miserably.
The game forces you to hover over items before you can accept trade. If you didn't pay attention and got scammed, well, tough luck. |
|
" Yeah once you're scammed it won't happen again because you will be more careful. This scam is older than POE, goes back to Diablo 2 days when they would swap out the item. I always read the item description and mods. |
