Affix Tiers

There are two things here.

Firstly.

Please make the affix Tiers more visible on the tooltip. I'm an older person (not that old) that enjoys POE and I actually did not see them until someone told me they were there. Now I can see them but barely, only because I know they are there.

Secondly.
Why the Tier flip? POE1 has the best Affix as T1 and the worst being the number of possible tiers.

This works in Last Epoch because there are ALWAYS 7 tiers but it doesn't work in POE2 because the number of tiers varies. If I get a T8 life roll is it the best I can get or are there 4 more tiers? (Thanks to POE2DB I know there are 4 more tiers). Do I really have to go to that site each time I want to evaluate an item?

If this really is the way forward could you please add the max possible next to the tier. Eg. T3(6)

When people do tier lists. Its normally (S Tier - Stupidly good) A Tier best - D Tier Worst.

I realize then that its inconsistent with your mapping Tiers but perhaps Waystones should use Level instead of Tier.

Reversing the affix tiers is madness, makes zero sense and is extremely bad in practice. Make it like it should be.
Tier 0 = best
Tier X (example - 10) = lowest, but varies based on the stat.

I really hope they reverse this... it's driving me nuts.

+1 I want to see these permanently turned on. Maybe a option in gameplay settings.

Flipping the tiers really is a downgrade from POE1. As OP said, without external sources you don't know the max tier of a certain affix without external sources.

I would guess the reasoning for that was that higher tier should always mean better (e.g. in like map tiers or the new boss tiers?). Then why not call affix tiers something else, like affix level, affix grade, affix rank...?

Alternatively the max tier for the affix could be shown in the tooltip like "T5 of 12".

its a weird change when poe1 uses the Tier 1 as best, but new players are coming in so maybe they made it easier

Yeah, this sucks. At the VERY LEAST say something like T4/8 so we know what T4 means. Right now it gives no information whatsoever.
