Chat not available

Playing on Xbox series x, I had tested PoE1 a while ago and afterwards deinstalled it. Purchased PoE2 at release and it seems that I now have two accounts. Only the PoE1 char is visible here on the website. As advised in another thread, I had created an account here and linked it to my Xbox, totally forgot about the PoE1 remainings.
As all my privacy settings on Xbox allow multiplayer communication, I suppose that this issue causes that the chat channels ingame remain empty. I read about players losing their chars while linkng the game accounts afterwards, I want to avoid this. On this old account and my linked Xbox profile the status for PoE2 is „not purchased“.
Did anyone face similar problems and maybe found a solution? I have already contacted the support but they seem very busy solving real game issues :)
