THE BIGGEST ISSUE WITH TRADING, THIS MUST STOP.
I quit playing in trade league in poe1 because tons of players BUY currencies online FOR REAL MONEY and after a week the inflation hit hard for players like me that just grind and play the game without buying currencies for REAL MONEY.
I was happy when GGG said that gold can't be trade and there will be an AH to buy/sell items. Well the game is out for a week and online you can buy currencies very very cheap. Saw few sites selling 50exa for 2$ and that's why you see players buying items with 2k exa that are bought ILLIGALY FOR REAL MONEY. Sorry GGG but this has to stop once for all or I'm start to think that, like Blizzard, some one in the company selling dup codes to gold sellers. Please do something ASAP. I will probably delete all my characters in trade and go back playing SSF patiently wait for this to be fixed. Last bumped on Dec 19, 2024, 4:33:44 AM

SSF is definitely a solid option. Small group private is the premier way to play POE1, and while technically you cannot do it now, with the right people you can.
Agreed that RMT is out of control though, wish they'd nuke accounts (perhaps there will be a ban wave, I dunno). I will say that just by playing at high tier maps you will find drops that will sell but clearly people are cheating their brains out. |

There is just that much that they actually can do. They can't really even send them legal notes to stop this because their TOS is not law. All they can do is try to ban them.
But that aside, this shouldn't really affect you, in grand scheme. There is orb inflation? Sell gear you found/made for inflated prices. Not to mention that with inflated prices like this you can just pump out the currency and USE IT to make even better items. As for the deleting part, wouldn't it a better idea just not to engage in trade and keep on playing? It literally doesn't change anything if you don't want to trade.
