I'm done with Path of Exile 2. Game is just too hard/tedious

I have played multiple toons and builds and have struggled in the campaign with most of them. The wall for me is usually the end of act 2 boss.
I think Path of Exile is trying to be to hard like a rogue like or a souls game. This is not a souls game. The reason souls like genre works is because it's not a loot focused arpg. You pick up a a katana in the first 5 minutes, it can carry you through the game. Having bosses with so much health and a character who just doesn't have the meta stuff at that level to take that boss on is not fun. Some bosses are designed well, some aren't. For example, my ranger toon cannot down the bog witch in act 3. What killls my toon super quick is she puts down 8 like aoe circles that denonate literally half a second after they go down. By the time I get her to half health I am all out of flash chrages. Furthermore, some classes like sorc are also very weak mid-game. I wanted to try a lightning sorc, spark barely does any damage even with flame wall down. Finally maps in act 3 are just too big, and if you die, you have to run through waves of monsters again. You can say it's a skill issue sure, but I've played and beaten games like dark souls 3 and Elden Ring, I even helped others beat some of the more difficult bosses in those games. Tedious is definitely the appropriate word.
Whether or not it is "hard" depends on whether you picked a functional skill or not as much as anything else; but regardless of what you pick it's designed to be tedious across the board. |

Bye. If you can't get past act 2 boss after multiple character creation you need to follow a detailed build guide or just go play something else less challenging. Stop crying on the forums about your skill issue. We are sick of hearing about it.

I don't find the game to be any more difficult than Dark Souls, but I will say that in PoE2 your success is much more dependent on your gear and build than in Dark Souls: you have to put equally as much effort into the build/gear side of the equation as in the combat mechanics side or you're going to struggle.
