Multi player is not fun in maps

PoE was always difficult when playing in groups. Most of the time you are punished with league mechanics but PoE 2 is much worse. Mapping with my husband is terrible. One of us ends up dead, many times right when we walk in. Then one person has to sit around and do nothing until the other person finishes the map. How slow movement speed is, the dead person is usually twiddling their thumbs for quite amount of time.

We had a blast playing the game.... until maps and now we dont even want to play. One of us gets mad at dying then the other has to feel guilty about finishing the map or just tossing the map entirely. As I write this post my character is laying dead waiting for him to complete our map. Figured I would do something other than stare at the walls.

I have the same experience. Campaign was really fun playing with my friends, we had a great time. But in maps it's just so depressing. Once someone dies, they can go literally for a walk because maps are so huge and they take some time to finish on our custom non-meta builds. And god forbid that the instance owner dies, you can say goodbye to ritual rewards.

I really hope GGG will improve the multiplayer experience, otherwise I'm afraid my friends will lose their interest. *prayge*
Ran into the same problem. Between me and my bro we have about 500 hours but ad wr get farther in the atlas the multi player scaling is just brutal.
We don't so anything except lower blue tiles any more in multiplayer. It's a bit dossapointing but hopfully just a balance issue for the next patches.
Other wise it's been a lot of fun but id really like a spectate mode when dead
