1 Portal per map issue.
The game you awesome guys made is beautiful and plays relatively well, but only getting one death per map is a 100% killer for me. I normally do glass cannon builds and do die multiple times on maps in POE (once first getting to maps). The second I experienced 1 death per map, I closed the game and have not logged back in. I could sneeze and not see a ground effect for 2 seconds and die and waste a stone. I understand you want this to be a way more difficult game than the first iteration, but with all the people added through this early access, 80% are not going to be sweats. I feel this should be an optional league to opt into, and not the default. If not, that is fine. It is your game. I have no problem playing POE 1, I just wanted to enjoy POE 2 also. I also know the game is going to be tweaked and altered along the way, and hopefully allowing up to the normal deaths per map will be added back in.
This post will most likely be met with shame from others on the forums, but, people in the forums are the sweats, not Joey who heard about the game from a friend. Just my simple feed back. Last bumped on Dec 28, 2024, 9:19:49 AM

It's not an issue. And going glass is your choice.
Maps with special event icons give you 1 try to get special items and currencies and if you fail those you can always do the map again with 6 portals. It's a great system for creating artificial scarcity and limit the market from being flooded with materials that empowers your character. If everyone could buy cheap amulet anointments and powerful crafting omens dirt cheap the game would lose its meaning of risk and perseverance. I agree, this isnt Hardcore this is Softcore. let the sweats play hardcore, us casual gamers want to play for fun and not get 1 shot by something SUPER out of your control randomly.

Totally agree, 1 Death per Map creates frustation. Waystones barely dropping makes the Problem worse. Not a Single t8 waystone dropped during the Quest (run 8 t7 waystones). I dont need t1 or t3 Waystones when im doing t7 Quest.

I also agree that this is a problem and it will actually stop me playing the game.
Without several attempts at bosses, the grind becomes stupid and I lose the goal to work towards thanks to the frustration. With no goal, I have no reason to play. |
