Ritual - deferred item keeps re-appearing

I deferred an item in Ritual that I eventually decided not to purchase. A few maps later it showed up with the usual red border and the indicator saying "this is the last time the item will be available.."

However, on the next map with ritual the same item shows up again with the red border and the same warning. It should've already been gone from the loot pool.

This is a big issue because items like that will take up the slot of another, potentially valuable, item. This way it dilutes the pool of potential rewards.
