Interesting post. I just lost my amulet, as well, though I think mine was munched by the Delirum system - which I think may be bugged.
Not sure if you experienced the same thing, but I got a third Delirum type, placed my amulet into the crafting window, then decided not to use the valuable materials because my amulet was lower level... later logged off, and now I see one of my Delirum resources and the amulet are gone, plus my skills are no longer usable because of the stat drop. Curiously, one of my Delirum resources is gone and so is the amulet. I am going to stay miles away from this Delirum system until I know it won't steal my gear... I think this is a bug. Hah! After writing this out I checked the crafting window and my amulet was hidden inside of it still... So I was able to recover it. Double check your Delirum window and see if the loot is lost in there...
