(0.2) MADE CHAYULA GREAT! AGAIN? - LEECH MONSTER

Hello everyone, updated the build for Dawn of the Hunt.

The build focuses on using Ice Strike to quickly hop around the enemies and explode them using Herald of Ice, building power charges passively and using them on Charged Staff in order to shock enemies so they can take more damage and also utilizing them on Flicker Strike for fast AOE clear.

When it comes to bossing, usage of Mantra (can be used also before flickering) before dropping Tempest Bell helps a lot when it comes to DPS output.

High crit chance is mandatory in order for it to work because they beauty of the build is the ability to leech mana and energy shield due to the ascendancy nodes. I also like casino hence the Reality Rending.

Last two ascendancy nodes are spent on increasing Chaos Resistance to 85% by only allocating half of that into items (wise choice is to pick 10% Chaos Res. from Cruel Act 3 vial)

Defensive layers are evasion and energy shield, Mind Over Matter Keystone and insane sustain even with small investment into leech as I'm running this with only 17% leech which comes from rings and a few passive skill tree nodes.

Build is in the early phase as my viewers have been asking for an update and I want them to give something to play with, there will be updates in the future as the league progresses.

One step forward from GGG was to add leech from all types of damage for the least played ascendancy, but two steps back was done by removing instant leech. If mana is full, energy shield stop leeching and that is fixed by wearing unique gloves "Atziri's Acuity Moulded Mitts" which gives us instant leech on crits.

Other way to solve the issue is to drain mana fast with your attacks, but that requires much bigger investment into gear and something that I have tested with +lvl to melee skills. Having too much of it makes it hard to sustain mana drain, having to little of it makes it not fill your energy shield up as you are hitting. Also, depends on your overall damage and leech amount, hence the easiest option is gloves, unless you have the currency to play with your gear which in turn will let you have better gloves.

Your build is looking really interesting, I'm thinking of trying it.

But you should really put up a build planner link for this (mobalytics or maxroll or whatever) so we can easily see the passives and skills without having to rewatch and search in the video. That's just a basic requirement for a guide really.

Deep dive of the build is linked with gameplay included and I have created basic build on Mobalytics, will be updating it tomorrow with more information so it's pretty barebones now.

Hi, When We can start using that build? I'm currently at cruel act 2.

I recommend starting it once you finish the campaign because you need a lot of passive skill tree points to make it work.
Build is updated for 0.1.0e patch.

Made some more updates to optimize the build, added Acrobatics.
Building towards this build as it fits my play style and so far (even with missing skills/support gems) it has been significantly helpful in Cruel Act 1. Thank you for this build.
This is a really good build. I’ve been toying with trying chaos inoculation, but been afraid to commit. How painful is Acrobatics for evasion hit? Also, how do you like frenzy charges? For compare I’ll post my tree when I’m not on phone. what I’ve been running for the tree is primarily extra mana leech, extra life on kill, power charges, crit + crit knockback on quarterstaff. Similar skills to you, but focused more on power charge gain with lingering illusion and siphon strike, also running mantra of destruction for juiced flicker or falling thunder… A 7 power charge flicker or falling thunder is incredibly rewarding, with quarterstaff hidden extra one, and there’s a good chance to retain power charges after use with passives on tree too! My biggest problem for me is mana leech and + level to melee skills in gear. Skill expense is a problem with +10 level to skills! Also went with chaos resist on mastery tree for 85% chaos resist since I’m not immune to Chaos.
