Game Crash caused by Merc Grenades.

Hello, I am playing as a ranger and my friend plays merc with explosive grenades and those make my game crash even if I am in another map. My last crash he used them in a narrow path so it might be some physics related problem. Theres no error. We tested group play with different classes - no crashes. He tried to play for half an hour with all abilities (also the lightning and gas grenades) but no explosive grenades - no crash again. So its for sure the explosive ones.

Theres some spare comments in this forum plus steam mentioning it but no post yet. Funnily enough they describe the same problem: its group play related, Mercenary related and weirdly enough one of them had the same problem start just like us at act 3 drowned city. No problems prior even though he used the same skill. The problem remains at Cruel act 1 so its not even act 3 exclusive but somehow didnt occur act 1-2 just like at the other comment from steam.

Paraphrases of every little scratch from other people I could find spread across the internet:

"No problems since release but since 2 days several crashes, no error, solo its fine for both of us. Playing together CTD possible for both. One playing merc, one sorc."

"Having crashes, one playing merc, one sorc. Fine since release but starting act 3 drowned cities, crashes appeared. Tried using vulkan, still happening."

"Also started happening at us act 3 but keeps happening cruel act 1"

"playing with a friend whos a mercenary, everytime he uses a certain grenade kill it will randomely crash our games (whole group it seems) but not his."

"When using Merc Exploding Grenade - Explosive shot - Increased Fuse and those exploding often crashes game"

Me and my friend are having this exact same issue and im not sure anyone at GGG knows about it. I post to help get this fixed

Ran in to this same issue with my Merc friend. We even pulled randoms in from general chat in game to test and they all crash as well. Had a party of 4 and when he used the explosive shot it caused the game to crash for us. For us it seemed to be proximity based, if we were close to him it wouldn't crash but anytime we split up the game crashed when he used that ability.

I made a post about it today in the bug reports as well.

I just tested this out with a friend of mine after 9 crashed in 30 minutes, I have yet to crash after staying close to him.

same issue a friend is crashing us were pretty sure its explosive shot had to respec his build hopefully ggg sees this
