For anyone who may have merged their account (possible solution)

Like you many I have merged my steam account with a console account, me personally being Xbox, come to find later my characters I've spent time on and my coins vanished from in-game. Come later I find out it put me under my steam account. (on my Xbox)which was fresh and blank with no characters created, curious I then created a fresh character and entered the game with no coin in sight, I then went back to the character selection screen and a drop down with both my Xbox account and steam account showed up allowing me to switch between both and when selecting the correct one all of my original characters I put a a few hours into appeared again along with my coins in game.

Please note: the drop down menu does not show all the time, you must back out to the main menu, then go back into character selection (you must have made a character under both accounts.)

This was beyond frustrating for me so hope this may help some of you get back to focusing on the game, this may not help everyone so take it with a grain of salt.

Further more would appreciate the UI being a bit better in the full launch it's very vague and no where does it tell you this, best regards, let's get back to the loot.

I can't possibly understand the logic behind any of this. Why would anyone want to have a single login, with separate accounts/stash tabs/etc? Why, if they were going to have it cross play, would they not have a single unified account.

It's so crazy that support has done nothing about this either (at least it doesn't seem anyone here has had any resolution).

I was able to see my second account and switch to it. It's ridiculous that they did that and not at all what I had intended to purchase. I don't want two separate accounts or I wouldn't have linked/merged the two of them.

The strange part is that even though I can finally see my 1000 points, when I try to buy something it says "this offer doesn't exist"

I can't use my shared stash tab either between accounts either. I can play both accounts on my PC and my PS5 but they aren't sharing tabs because I have to use the drop down menu to change accounts.

What a mess.

Glad I was able to help as for the stash tabs and cosmetics I assumed they are treated as separate (for both accounts) which defeats the purpose of merging but, that's for GGG to figure out.

yeah they clearly don't understand the term merge, all your doing is partially merging the login, I'm stuck playing on console as I 'merged' my two consoles and spent a good few bucks then realised I can't merge my steam account, so they lost a sale there, I'd happily pay for the beta on all formats because it's convenient, kinda sucks I can't.
