Portal Issue

If someone uses a portal to go back to town and for whatever reason goes AFK while standing at the portal and you happen to use your portal and go to that same town to clear your loot, YOU CANT USE THAT SAME PORTAL TO GET BACK AND WILL LOSE YOUR PROGRESSS. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED

I had the same issue. I portaled back to town and lost the possibility to go back. Now quest progress shows I need to go back and carry on completing the quest but I can't. I don't even have the altar item any more either....now what?
