As an older gamer with a full time job, im loving the slower pace of poe2
Older boy here, been playing poe1 on and off since open beta so feel ive got a good grasp on life and the game to throw my 2 cents into the ring.
Im really enjoying poe2. The pacing for me is ideal. for example - i have just reached maps. It has taken me a whole week since launch to make my way through the campaign and thats playing a decent amount and having a fair poe knowledge going in. Getting a weeks worth of gaming out of a campaign is good. I feel i have reached maps sufficiently geared - my currency drops throughout the campaign have been decent and as someone who doesnt craft a lot and enjoys trading more im not bothered bout not having enough crafting recourses (i can understand other peoples frustration with this though) Although the campaign itself can be a bit of a slog at times due to zone size and not amazing ui i have very much enjoyed it. game looks mazing - plays great - boss fights are mental - music and sound are immense - character and attack animations are awesome( i play warrior the attacks feel awesome, but could be speeded up a little) + (the small animations your char does throughout the campaign when interacting with stuff is very cool and really helps you get immersed into the character more) I like it that were not getting showered with loot - bit of a contentious one this but personally i like the more ruthless style of loot drop. Also makes me feel that im not gonna come home from work and the market has completely overtaken me and my drops are worthless. If on the off chance anyone at ggg see's this - please keep on doing what youre doing, a lot of us out here really appreciate the new direction the game is going. Please dont turn this into a poe1 clone. stay sane exiles ps - buff warrior attack animation speeds please pss - its early access my dudes chillout on the rage threads. I couldn't agree more! My ARPGs of choice being D2 and D2R, this was exactly what the doctor ordered.
Love what GGG achieved with POE2 and I am more than optimistic about the future of the game! |

Biggest issue I had with PoE 1 was that you stomped through a map for 1-2 mins, then sorted all the millions of splinters, essences and crappy gear. Then repeated it.
So I agree i like that the pace is difference. With that said, some areas could use a reduction in scale. |

age has nothing to do with it. i loved slow paced diablo 1 from the get go. thats immersion, everything else is .. poor design.
life is the greatest creation from God :) the closer we reproduce it in games the better |
