Is it just me or are stat requirements a bit too high maybe???
Maybe it's intended and you are supposed to make up for it with gear but I at times in the campaign have issues just having enough stats for the primary stat I'm using much less secondary stats for support gems or otherwise.
To be fair, part of this could also be due to we only have some of the weapons/skills. I've only made it to act2 cruel twice now but each time I get around here and it starts being a pain point and just wondering if this is intended. Last bumped on Dec 31, 2024, 7:11:15 AM

They are too high, and part of the reason is that all attribute sources in this game are 50% of what they are in PoE 1. In that game every travel node on the skill tree gives you +10 to an attribute, and amulets can give up to +30 to an attribute, +24 to 2 different ones, or +16 to all attributes depending on what type of amulet it is.
In PoE 2 for some unfathomable reason they decided to just nerf all attributes on gear and the skill tree by 50% while keeping the same high requirements on gear and gems. It's just bad. It probably is intended but it's just resulting in people being attribute-starved on their build and constantly having to respec 5 points of an attribute on the skill tree to try and balance wearing their gear and gems. And those respecs keep costing more and more gold later on. |

You shouldn't be starved of your primary stat if that's all you're using on gear. Unless you're taking other attributes on your travel nodes. What class are you playing?

it is actually high and pain to find items that fit the gear in the market .
The state of the game is really boring once you finish acts. There should be more loot during the cruel act 1 to 3 that would cover the resistance issue . I barely got any good rings or belts during the run . Even though the map are crazy huge with tons of useless mobs. Like why there are only 1 or 2 rares each map run during acts. |

"Class is kinda irrelevent, using witch skills but playing a sorc, so primary stat skill wise is Int. I've got some nodes into dex for support gems and trying for evasion/energyshield armor, not that I've had any luck on drops or having enough stats... |

I felt the same way until about T2 maps, now I've got more attributes than I'll ever need. Take the +25 main attribute node near your starting tree until you get attributes on gear - it's there for a reason. I'm a monk, so we're using the same armour (eva/es), and it's never been an issue. The real issue for me was support gems requiring more int than I had, and quarterstaffs requiring monstrous amounts of dex. And like I mentioned, after about 5/10 of my T2 quest maps, I stopped having that issue because I was showered in exalts and could buy a single piece of dex gear. That plus the 25 on the tree = 188 dex, 106 int, and 60 str total. In fact, I could probably respec out of the tree node now.
The requirements are high, but not insurmountably so. Not everything should be incredibly easy to achieve. |

" That isn't a good response considering that the ENTIRE point of poe is being able to come up with crazy builds. You shouldn't be forced to play a specific type of gear or skill just because you are playing a certain class. The issue is the inability to splash gear or skills from other attributes into your build. If you are using pure int skills/gear it's almost impossible to splash any pure strength thing into your build and the same goes for any other att. Effectively we get 1.5 atts. You can use pure int + int/dex or pure dex + int/dex but you can use pure int + pure dex. The only things you can use from another att are things which don't scale with levels which can be rare to come by. Last edited by Kamstew#1014 on Dec 16, 2024, 9:58:18 AM

they are not. Played already on all characters. For sure you have wrongly builded your character or have wrong items.

I find them quite high as well. The game feels like it really, really wants you to fall in line with what's available near your tree. Eg ranger will be full evasion and DEX, warrior will be full armour and STR, sorc will be full ES and INT. The stat requirements make mixing either difficult or just inefficient and the passive nodes required to get decent scaling on your non-intended defense are typically quite far away. This also coupled with what can seem like extremely high costs to take skills from not your attribute type.
I was looking at taking some sorc lightning stuff to try on my lightning deadeye but the int costs are just out of this world. I could go back to early campaign maps and try to farm lower skill gems I guess. Last edited by Weaver#3527 on Dec 16, 2024, 10:19:22 AM

" You definitely can use gear/skills for other attributes, it's just harder in the early game. You'll really need to get attributes on your gear if you want to do that. |
