League Progression Server

Could you make a server that started out in the basic game, then every 7-14 days (?), added a league. Don't know if this concept would work with PoE, but it has been quite fun in other games. Maybe dont make it possible to transfer the characters to standard (neither during or at servers end), since some items from earlier leagues are quite rare on standard.

Just a thought.

For the players. Would this be something you would play, and why? Or would this be a catastrophe right of the bat, and why? (besides poe2 coming out).
