Sceptre in main hand

I have a sceptre + shield setup because I want to play support

When using the sceptre in the mainhand slot it does not automatically summon the warriors that it has as a passive skill.

I also have 50 left over spirit after setting up my other gems, but it says that I do not have enough spirit for summon archers. Summon archers costs only 41 spirit. Even with the other gems removed it does not work.

Stomping Ground does not specify that it requires a martial weapon, but it does not work with sceptre in mainhand+shield with shield charge.

I'm having the same issue with Stomping ground and shield charge when using any weapon other than a mace
