Major QoL - High level uncut skill gems should be able to craft lower level skill gem

This is a really annoying one, for example I want to use a low level of Herald of Ice but I don't have any such low level uncut spirit gems. I have a ton of high level though. I think it would be a major improvement to be able to select a lower level when crafting from a high level skill gem.

Otherwise now I have to:
- figure out what monster level area do I need to farm for that low level spirit skill gem
- start farming and pray

It is really counter-intuitive that you must have the exact level of uncut skill gem for this. Please make it so that we can choose the level when gemcutting from uncut.

Also: make skills that you don't meet stat requirement for still work but at at a lower max level that your current stats support.

yea this is good idea to save space too

The lack of being able to access low level gems without leveling a new character or trying to farm lower level content is just dumb. Small changes your build can create the need to use a lower leveled gem, especially on spirit gems as the OP stated.

Also some skills get WORSE with gem levels.

For example voltaic mark only gains damage on its explosion on death effect with each level. Which means that it gets something you aren't even using it for(you are using it for shock chance/magnitude). But the cost goes up each level, making minimum level voltaic mark the best version.
