Minion Critical Chance and Damage

I've started unlocking the Minion Critical Chance passive nodes, and they aren't improving that stat for ANY of my minions. I'm only level 60, and still 2 levels away from my first crit damage node Grip of Evil, but I can only assume crit dmg is bugged too. I have a jewel which gives "16% increased Critical Damage bonus" and that is also not reflected in the Advanced Info on any of my minion skills.

Apologies if this is already known and posted about, I couldn't find any info on this problem by using the forum's search function.

stats that dont have the "minion" tag do not apply to minions, the jewel you mentioned will not add to your minions crit, however, it does seems that the other thing you mentioned is a bug, furthermore, they could be getting the increase its just not reporting it properly.
So this won't affect my minions? That seems like poor game design, but ok...

I think that person missed that it's the minion crit nodes you're mentioning.

I applied the 40% increased minion critical damage node, and my arsonists went from 50% to 70% crit damage (in case those numbers are a surprise, it's 40% increase, not +40%). I did not have the issue described, and could see the change.

What I did notice was that the minions had to be present AND you have to have moved within the instance for the updated stats to be shown.

Upon realizing that crit wouldn't be strong for minions without significant investment (and a malice stick), I specced out of crit before I could verify if crit chance changes would show properly.

Interesting! Thanks for the response. What platform are you on? I'm on console so I wonder if it might be a console specific bug. And hopefully like the first person said, hopefully it's only a display bug and not a performance one.

Ya, i noted he mentioned the passive nodes being minion based, but didnt specify if the jewel was increased minion crit, sry, in the context I should have realized.

To add, im currently using Conduit (gives allies charges instead of you) and use profane rune to boost minion crit by 150% (50% per power charge)

I notice a difference right off the bat

Thanks to everyone for the responses!

I've realized upon further play and learning of the mechanics, that both these stats are ALWAYS multiplicative unless otherwise specified. So it's not in fact a bug, just a much much smaller impact than I assumed would be happening. Like my minions have gone from 5 crit chance to a little over 20%, and I had to take ALL the crit passive nodes, get the presence roll on my weapon for it, and I'm also using the Critical Weakness debuff via Eye of Winter (with Fork and Inevitable Critical support gems, to increase debuffing rate for both Crit Weakness and Exposure, since that's the 3rd support gem I have in it atm).

Like I mentioned, I'm pretty new to POE overall... I can't seem to figure out how you're converting power charges into crit chance. Is it a unique item? I couldn't find any passive nodes, or support gems, that can do that.
