a Death Immunity Amulet would it be a bad idea?

The Witchhunter,The Gemling Legionnaire, The Blood Mage,The Infernalist

Since the launch, I’ve created four characters. The first two were Mercenaries, as I wanted to explore the differences in Ascendancy. I tried different builds, and overall, the experience was pretty good. Although I often got one-shot by monsters, the damage output was decent, boss fights didn’t take too long, and the builds had a good margin for error. The second character could also inherit gear from the first, which made things easier. Other than the occasional annoying one-shots, the experience was fairly acceptable.

However, my experience with the Witch class was significantly worse, mainly due to comparisons with other classes. One key issue is damage output. It feels like improving the Witch’s damage is much harder. For the Mercenary, base damage comes from weapons, so upgrading the weapon directly boosts damage. In contrast, the Witch’s base damage relies on gems, and the damage early on feels underwhelming. Even if the weapon has high percentage stats, the actual damage output is still disappointing.

A friend of mine also chose the Witch, and at first, I thought their poor performance was due to a lack of familiarity with the game mechanics or bad gear. But after trying it myself, I found the experience equally unsatisfying.

Damage directly affects how long it takes to defeat bosses. The lower your damage, the worse your gameplay experience, especially when bosses often have one-shot kill mechanics.

When facing a boss, you might make several mistakes but still survive. Even if you’ve used up all your potions, you’ll feel it’s a matter of skill—thinking that with better dodging or slightly improved gear, you could succeed.

However, one-shot kills are entirely different. They make you feel that a single mistake means starting over, which is especially frustrating when the boss is close to death. This can be extremely aggravating.

For a class like the Witch, where even investing in gear doesn’t result in satisfactory damage, the experience becomes even worse. It makes you lose the motivation to continue playing.

This is especially for new players or those unfamiliar with the game. Such unforgiving one-shot kills are incredibly frustrating and lead to a very poor gaming experience.

So, I’m curious if it’s possible to have an item like a Death Immunity Amulet, which would allow a player to survive an instance where they take damage exceeding 100% of their maximum health. This item could prevent death and instead reduce their health to 1, giving them a second chance.
