PoE2 - Arbiter of ash animation desync
Spoilers for the Arbiter of Ash fight below.
I'm not entirely sure this is a bug or me simply not understanding what to do but I've tried the Arbiter of Ash twice now and when he explodes the fireball in the circle I tried both standing in and out of it and died both times. Looking at a video of someone else clearing it, it seems like there's supposed to be a small delay for you to be standing out of the circle and dodgeroll in to avoid the explosion but when I tried doing that both the Arbiter's beam and the explosion happened at the same time. I'm playing a freeze/chill build so I'm wondering if maybe the Arbiter's animation is affected by the slows but the orb explosion isn't which threw the animations/events out of sync? " Noone wants to answer this. There are no vids covering the mechanics. They keep it to themselves like the As you can see, noone cares about this even though it is the most stupid thing ever. Why? Because they oneshot him with busted builds and in all the streamer vids he never does this overlap. However if you start the fight in normal under 1 mirror gear, he does this non stop and guaranteed oneshots you. Also the beam is not oneshot, it does arround 5000 dmg so people with 20k broken ES MOM builds just stay in the circle and tank the beam. There's actually more than one animation sync issue on Arbiter of Ash.
I died earlier because he did his circles move (where something like 10 circles spawn one after the other can you have to move to the next one to not get one shot) but he also phased and did the beam attack. At that point, I had to be in 2 different circles simultaneously which is physically impossible. I saw Mathil die to this on stream too yesterday, though I don't think he realized he literally couldn't do anything not to die. There's quite a few issues with chill/slows, freeze, stuns, etc when it comes to bossing. I don't have a magical solution though, hope they figure something out because bossing in this game is otherwise amazing :) |

I just had a the same problem with the move where he makes a circle and drops a charged up ball into it that then explodes the rest of the arena. I was standing in the safe circle for a full second and then was killed by the explosion. I'm also playing a chill/freeze build.

I watched a video of quinn (even if he dies on the boss) after my tries against the boss. I spotted one issue.
Concerning the mechanics of the "safe band", I have seen videos where people manage to hesitate (they go to the right then to the left) and still manage to dodge the damage but in my tests the damage happened way faster. The first safe zone is on me, I'm waiting for the game to show me the next spot, I insta dodge roll but the damage happened almost instant The fight itself is not complicated, but if I die because of some animation issue, that's a problem. I'll try to check in the graphics option |
