Rethink what ascendancy trials should be. Please.

Bringing back the two most polarizing mechanics in all of PoE1, (sanctum and ultimatum), was already a poorly thought out decision in my opinion. The bosses are great, though. I am a fan of having to overcome a strong boss/ groups of enemies in order to progress our characters, however adding multiple layers of RNG on top of a slog of a mechanic that you have to get a random drop in order to attempt is awful design.

Remove RNG from our trials and leave the high damage/ difficult bosses and enemies. I just attempted my tier 4 trial and very early was stuck with taking a -40% damage debuff. Of course there are ways to rid yourself of negative affects like this, but I was not offered any and by the time I reached the third floor of my trial I was stuck fighting single rares for almost a minute while dodging attacks and effects. Not to mention, I'm a melee build. Longer fights just mean more chances to get hit by stray swings that are borderline out of my control.

I've yet to get a drop for a tier 4 ultimatum run but I'm going to assume its either harder or just as hard to complete... and not for the right reasons.

RNG has no place in our trials. It takes so much skill out of our hands and leaves it up to luck. We love luck in our game for loot. Not for mechanics that can potentially waste hours of our time.
